Why ‘Jump The Gun’ Over Penang As FT Idea, Huan Ask Guan Eng

It is shameful for Guan Eng to throw unnecessary allegations against Tengku Adnan, as he was trying to portray an ‘ambition’ or ‘hope’. said PCM veep Huan Cheng Guan.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng should not have acted prematurely over the idea suggested by Barisan Nasional Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to include the northern state as part of the Federal Territories (FT)

In defending Tengku Adnan’s remarks, Parti Cinta Malaysia veep Huan Cheng Guan said “it’s merely an ambition or hope” to have Penang, Langkawi and certain parts of Malacca included under FT rule.

Huan suggested that Tengku Adnan was merely expressing a suggestion during his interview with BFM radio station.

It is shameful for Guan Eng to throw unnecessary allegations against Tengku Adnan, as he was trying to portray an ‘ambition’ or ‘hope’.

“Guan Eng cited the Article 1(3) of Federal Constitution stating that Penang is a state under Malaysia.

“But don’t forget, the same Article 1(3) of Federal Constitution relates to Chapter 4 asserts that Federal Territory is part of the constitution.

“It is unquestionable for Guan Eng, as it clearly states that Federal Territory is part of Malaysia.” Huan said.

It is more evident that Tengku Adnan’s statement fears Guan Eng.

As the English idiom tells us ‘like father like son’, DAP senior politician Lim Kit Siang has the ambition to be the next Deputy Prime Minister, if the opposition pact wins the next general election.

Only Pribumi chairman Mahathir Mohamad has acknowledged the secret deal and not even by other Pakatan Harapan (PH) lawmakers, claimed Huan.

Huan tells Guan Eng not to be afraid with the proposal as it will follow the proper procedure, if happens to be tabled.

“If Guan Eng is only interested to protect the local developers and tycoons’ interests in Penang, there is nothing wrong for a cabinet minister to put forward a proposal that will benefit the people.

“But in reality, Guan Eng is a dictator and some of the fellow PH members label him as ‘tokong’ as well as some DAP members calling him as autocratic leader with an iron fist.” added Huan.
